Concerts / > Le Son du Peuple It was entirely logical to invite to this event Le Son du Peuple: Dj’s du Peuple de l’Herbe, a band who took up residence at Les Subsistances in late 2003. “Le Son du Peuple” is the Sound System version of Peuple de l’Herbe (DJs, albums…), and their musical universe in its “raw” form. They do not have a predefined set or a particular style (although some hip-hop and electronica influences can be heard). Rare and original sounds, lounge or electric musical ambiance, traditional (dancefloor) or modern (scratch & technical) mix. That’s Le Son du Peuple for you! > Les Gourmets Les Gourmets have been mixing their influences since 2003: “west-coast” style with howling sirens, underground New-York influences, typically southern extravagance... Three hungry flows: the crafty Liqid, the cavernous Krien and the supersonic Morbac. Following their sold-out EP “Fini’d’planer” (2004) and having been the consenting victim of more than 25,000 downloads for their first album - "Le Plus Gourmand" - they have returned with the album of (pre)maturity, "Trop Jeune Pour Mûrir". In Paris, Lilles, Brussels, Macon, Grenoble, Avignon, Bordeaux… Les Gourmets have shared the stage with artists such as De La Soul, La Caution, dDamage, TTC, Zebda, Beans, Cyne, and Supermicro. > Acousmonium / sphère sonore When we say Acousmonium, we are talking about a sound sphere. An acousmonium is a device designed to play electro-acoustic, electronic or acousmatic music. The audience is situated in the heart of a sound space (based on a meticulous layout of speakers) to discover sounds, rhythms and harmonics. The peculiar listening conditions replace the audience into the show and set free everyone’s imagination. The acousmonium team: Clément Benitah, Gaëtan Parseihian, Raphaël Parseihian & Robert Kieffer. |
