Circus - acrobatics
Prize of European Circus budding talent 2008
23.24.25.26 april 09
Thursday, Friday 7.45pm / Saturday 4.45pm & 10pm / Sunday 2.45pm
Two characters and seven massive planks weighing over 40kg each, one rope, two or three sticks, and a few wedges are used to build, construct or play with cantilevers, suspensions, and the loss of balance. Twenty minutes of pure circus, absolute physical feat and incredible invention.
The first thing that springs to attention is their playful closeness. Their gestures simply breathe pleasure. They enjoy inventing acrobatic twists and turns, in which they can intertwine and surprise and argue with each other. It is all make-believe and yet it is already highly clever and subtle. Their movements are never strained, and they bounce smoothly off each other without a hitch.
’’If your friend walks with a limp on the right side, walk with a limp on the left side.’’ Renard J.’s Diary, 1906
